2026 Arts & Culture Festival

Join us for bouncy castle, lawn games, and more!

Join us at the Museum for live music and lots of fun for the whole family at our annual Arts & Culture Festival! In partnership with the Rossland IncrEdible Market, and the Rossland Council for Arts & Culture, we'll be featuring Kootenay artisans, vendors, and food trucks!

The festival is an opportunity for our region’s local visual and performing artists to showcase their talents to the public as we celebrate the spectacular culture in our area with live music, artist demos, artisan booths, and more. Entry by donation!

NEW this year, we are presenting the InspiRed Mountain Community Art Competition in partnership with the Rossland Council for Arts & Culture! Sign up HERE to submit your work to this exciting, juried art show and share your art with the community while on display at the Museum!

A bouncy house, lawn games, scavenger hunt, and crafts complete the weekend - making this the perfect event to enjoy on a September afternoon.

This year’s event will be held on the Museum Upper Level, with music under our brand new pavilion!

PLEASE NOTE: Parking for this event is limited! Please consider carpooling — or if you’re coming from Rossland, take in the fall colours and walk or bike to the Museum!

Artist Demos & Workshops

Saturday Sept 26th 12:00 PM - Kinusaiga Fabric Mosaics with Sarah Parrell

Ages: 5+ (with adult guidance)
Cost: Free/Donations Welcomed
Participant Limit: Max 12

Inspired by the Japanese art of no-stitch, quilting mosaics called Kinusaiga, Sarah Parrell will lead twelve lucky registrants through a workshop at 12:00 PM, Saturday September 26th, to create a textile work of art. This FREE workshop has limited spaces so don't wait and sign up today,

This workshop is open to participants five years old or older (with adult guidance).

Saturday Sept 26th, 2:30 PM - Puppet Making with Puppets on the Move

Ages: 5+ (with adult guidance)
Cost: Free/Donations Welcomed
Participant Limit: Max ~30 or as Supplies Last

Create your own world of fun at the Arts & Culture Festival Puppet Making Workshop with Puppets on the Move! This FREE first-come first-served workshop will be available for the first 30 or so people to join in the fun at 2:30 PM on Saturday September 26th.

This workshop is open to everyone, with adult guidance required for younger participants.

Sunday Sept 27th, 1:00 PM - Ceramic Wall Pockets with Lana Jamieson

Ages: 10+
Cost: Free/Donations Welcomed
Participant Limit: Max 12

Make an impression at our Arts & Culture Festival Ceramics Workshop with Lana Jamieson, Sunday September 27th at 1:00pm! Sign up to learn and create a ceramic wall pocket, and make it your own by bringing natural elements or plant findings to make impressions in your design. Participants will also be able to paint their designs with underglazes before Lana takes them away for firing! This workshop is FREE, but spaces are limited so sign up today.

This workshop is open to participants ten years old or older.

Henna Tattoos by Masira Mansuri - We are very pleased to be joined by Henna Artist Masira Mansuri for Sunday of the festival! Don’t miss your chance to get a FREE Henna tattoo.
