Assay Office
At the end of the mine tunnel, a door opens into the assayer’s office. The assay office will be full of artifacts related to the science of mining, core samples, and relevant specimens from the RMDC geology collection.
As visitors exit the assay office, they enter a timeline exhibit on the Consolidated Mining & Smelting Co. of Canada. This exhibit serves as a transition and link between the Mine Experience and the main gallery (J.D. McDonald Hall), bringing visitors from the past to the present.
