From the Vault: The Art of the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre

For years, we have been wanting to show you more of our art collection, and this spring, we finally did it! Join us as we take you on a tour of some of our favourite pieces from our vault.

Art often has the power to evoke emotion, elicit meaningful discussions, and transcend language barriers. While you will find no old masters’ works here, we have unlocked the gates to our artistic treasury and invite you to explore Rossland’s history through an artistic lens. From the Vault is where the past meets the present, and every artwork carefully curated from our collection tells a story of Rossland’s rich history in a way you may not have considered before.

As you explore the exhibit, you will get introduced to some lesser-known individuals from Rossland’s history and hidden gems from our collection that we rarely display, and have the opportunity to contribute to the exhibit yourself. Each artwork invites you to delve deeper, unravel its secrets, and immerse yourself in the stories it holds.

From the Vault will be on display in the J.D. McDonald Hall until the end of August 2024.
