Veterans' Week 2022
Veterans’ Week & Remembrance Day at the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre
In honour of Veterans’ Week and Remembrance Day, the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre has curated temporary exhibitions on Rossland’s wartime efforts during the First and Second World Wars.
For the entire month of November, the Museum will have an exhibit on Rossland during the Second World War, featuring pilots Garth Beley and James Harper, the ARP (Air Raid Precautions), and the Rossland Red Cross. Additionally, the Rossland Public Library will have an exhibit on Private Benjamin Allen, with a display of his service medals.
Community Writing Campaign
The Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre is also encouraging a community writing campaign to give appreciation to local veterans. Visit the RMDC or the Rossland Public Library to write a postcard or colour a picture to send to Rossland veterans for Remembrance Day.
YOU May also PRINT THESE IMAGES AND deliver THEM to THE MUSEUM OR the Rossland public LIBRARY:
