New Digitization Project

The Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre is excited to announce that we have received funding to help us digitize Rossland’s history!

Funding received from Library & Archives Canada’s Documentary Heritage Communities Program will be used to help us digitize and rehouse our negative collection. The collection, which contains over 1000 negatives, has long been underutilized because we simply do not know what we have. The negatives cover a range of topics and time periods throughout Rossland’s history.

By digitizing and rehousing this collection we are making them accessible and preserving them for the future. We can’t wait to share what we find with you!

We’re looking for volunteers to help us with this project! If you are interested, you can contact our collections Manager at collections@rosslandmuseum.ca

The Documentary Heritage Communities Program provides funding each year to documentary heritage organizations across the country. This funding helps to ensure that Canada's continuing memory is documented, preserved and available to the public.
